Description:
Behind-the-scenes volunteers help all things audio and visual happen in our worship services. You will be on a team that presents slides and videos during worship, announcements, sermons, etc. and control light settings and screen effects. No experience is necessary. Training is completed under supervision during services.
Behind-the-scenes volunteers help all things audio and visual happen in our worship services. You will be on a team that presents slides and videos during worship, announcements, sermons, etc. and control light settings and screen effects. No experience is necessary. Training is completed under supervision during services.
Commitment:
~7.5 hours a week once a month, along with occasional special event coverage
Roles:
- Sound Team Member | Mediate the flow of service by mixing the audio for the worship team and speaker for both in-person and stream worship. Those applying should have an ear for music and attention to detail. Other responsibilities include managing the sound equipment, setting up mics, troubleshooting audio, quality control of the sound for service, and being available for church events with audio needs.
- AV Team Member | Present slides and videos during worship, announcements, sermons, etc. and control light settings and screen effects. No experience is necessary. Training is completed under supervision during services.
- Camera Team Member | Operate sanctuary camera for sanctuary services and special events. No experience is necessary. Training is completed under supervision during services.
- Design Team Member | Graphics, web, social media, video, photo, and other creative mediums
- Photo/Video Team Member | Capture and document church events and the life of the church. Includes shooting and may include editing.
Requirements:
To volunteer, you must be an active member of Church of Southland:

- Minimum 6 months of Church attendance
- Regular Cell and Sunday Service attendance
- EG (Completed Experiencing God Discipleship Classes)
- Encounter Retreat
