About Lighthouse Ministry (High School Leaders)
Description:
Lighthouse cultivates holiness with High School students (9th-12th grade) to love God, know themselves, and serve others. You will lead small group discussion times with your assigned students every week on Sundays (11AM-1PM), and rotate on Friday nights (7:30PM-9:30PM).

Commitment:
~4 hours a week, 1 year commitment

Roles:
- Teachers (1st & 2nd Service) | Spirit-filled individual called to disciple and mentor high school students in their life with Christ. Aim to cultivate the next generation of kingdom minded servants, prayer warriors, and spiritual leaders. Lead small groups, coordinate meet ups outside of church, build deep and meaningful relationship with students
- CORE Team (Student Leadership) Coordinator | Spirit-filled individual called to disciple and mentor high school students in a leadership role to plan events, organize outreach, lead Sunday service announcements, lead Scripture reading, and serve the Lighthouse student body
- Intercessory Prayer Group Leader | Spirit-filled individual called to disciple and mentor high school students in prayer and lead the students in covering over the student body
- Worship (Praise) Team Coordinator | Spirit-filled individual called to disciple and mentor high school students in worship and praise. Oversee worship practices on Sundays, Fridays, Prayer Vigils, and Breakthroughs. Coordinate worship set lists and mentor the student worship leaders
- Outreach/Evangelism Coordinator | Spirit-filled individual called to disciple and mentor high school students in outreach and evangelism. Coordinate food pantry serving opportunities and community outreach as well as yearly Alpha program
Requirements:
To volunteer, you must be an active member of Church of Southland:
- Minimum 6 months of Church attendance
- Regular Cell and Sunday Service attendance
- EG (Completed Experiencing God Discipleship Classes)
- Encounter Retreat
