About The Spot Cafe

The Spot Cafe is a great place to meet new people, learn how to make coffee and serve our COS customers. All volunteers must complete The Spot Training Course and learn by observation and hands-on experience. If you are passionate about loving people and loving coffee, this ministry is for you!
The Spot Cafe is a great place to meet new people, learn how to make coffee and serve our COS customers. All volunteers must complete The Spot Training Course and learn by observation and hands-on experience. If you are passionate about loving people and loving coffee, this ministry is for you!
Commitment:
~1 hour a week, month-based rotations
~1 hour a week, month-based rotations
Roles:
- Barista | Adept at making a wide array of coffee and non-caffeinated drinks (e.g., espresso, lattes, cappuccinos, and other specialty beverages)
- Cashier | Take orders, complete transactions, and serve drinks to customers, ensuring a positive experience
- Setup and Cleanup | Prepare all equipment and ingredients before cafe opens, keep the cafe clean during operating hours, clean up after cafe closes, and throw away trash
Requirements:
To volunteer, you must be an active member of Church of Southland:
- Minimum 6 months of Church attendance
